Affiliate Guidelines

What you can and can’t say when you promote Effecty — the rules that keep your campaigns live, your commissions paid, and our patients protected.

Version 1.0 · September 2026

Resources

Approved assets

Everything below is pre-cleared for affiliate use. Anything not in these libraries needs written approval before it runs.

01 · Foundation

Design guidelines

The full Effecty brand book — logo usage, typography, color, tone of voice, and our medical and compliance standards. Read this before you design anything.

02 · Imagery

Product images

Cleared product photography at web and print resolution. Use these as-is. Do not source your own product imagery, stock, or AI-generated product shots.

03 · Identity

Logos

The effecty. wordmark and the ff. abbreviated mark, in black and white, as SVG and PNG. Never recolor, redraw, or combine the two marks.

04 · Creative

Select ads

Proven creative you can run directly, plus reference for the angles and formats that work. Copy and imagery in these units are pre-approved together — don’t mix and match across ads.

05 · Social proof

Select testimonials

Real patient testimonials with written consent on file, cleared for affiliate use. These are the only testimonials you may run without separate approval. Every one must carry “Individual results vary,” and none may be edited, shortened in a way that changes its meaning, or paired with a before-and-after it didn’t come with.

Before you use anything here

These libraries are updated as pricing, claims, and platform policies change. Pull assets fresh at the start of each campaign rather than reusing a copy you saved months ago — an asset that was compliant last quarter may since have been retired.

Start here

Read this first

Effecty is a technology platform that connects people with independent licensed medical providers. Our offers involve prescription medication, real medical evaluations, and protected health information — which means our advertising is governed by the FTC, the FDA, state medical boards, HIPAA, and the ad policies of every platform you may run on.

That makes affiliate compliance different here than it is on a consumer-goods offer. A non-compliant ad doesn’t just get disapproved — it can create regulatory exposure for Effecty and for the providers who prescribe, and it can get ad accounts permanently banned.

The rule behind every rule below

If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, ask before you launch. Approval is fast. Remediation is not.

Everything you need to build compliant creative — brand guidelines, product imagery, logos, approved ads, and cleared testimonials — is linked in Approved assets.

By promoting any Effecty offer through Everflow, you agree to these guidelines. Violations may result in withheld commissions, reversed conversions, or removal from the program.

Our voice, in your creative

Effecty is warm, clear, and honest — the feeling of talking to a care coordinator at a trusted doctor’s office, not a supplement ad. Creative that sounds pushy, exaggerated, fear-based, or “salesy” is off-brand even when it’s technically compliant, and we’ll ask you to change it.

We are never

  • Judgmental or shaming
  • Cold, corporate, or overly clinical
  • Trendy or gimmicky
  • Fear-based or pressure-driven

We are

  • Supportive — we guide people, we don’t leave them to figure it out
  • Transparent — clear pricing, honest information, no surprises
  • Optimistic — focused on living healthier and longer
  • Approachable — modern and human, no jargon
Section 01

Hard rules (zero tolerance)

These are non-negotiable. A violation here can result in immediate suspension and forfeiture of unpaid commissions, without a warning cycle.

1. No brand-name drug imitation. Ever.

Don’t

  • Show, recreate, or imitate Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, Novo Nordisk, or Eli Lilly branding, colors, trade dress, packaging, or pen designs
  • Name a brand-name medication at all — in copy, hashtags, keywords, alt text, or file names
  • Say “generic Ozempic,” “same as Wegovy,” “Mounjaro alternative,” or “Ozempic dupe.” Our medication is not a generic of any brand
  • Use a brand-name injection pen in any imagery — photo, stock, illustration, icon, emoji, or AI-generated

Do

  • Use only Effecty-approved product imagery from the Everflow asset library
  • Refer to the medication by the approved terms in Rule 3
  • Lead with the care experience, the process, and the support — not a product comparison

2. Carry the Effecty disclaimer on every asset.

Never state or imply that our medication is “FDA-approved,” “FDA-registered,” “FDA-cleared,” or “the same as” a brand-name drug. Every creative and landing page must carry this disclaimer, in full and unedited:

Required disclaimer · use verbatim

Effecty is a technology platform that connects individuals with independent licensed medical providers. Effecty does not practice medicine or prescribe medications. Licensed independent medical providers determine whether treatment is appropriate. If prescribed, medication is dispensed by state-licensed pharmacies, including compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not undergone FDA review for safety or effectiveness. Eligibility for treatment is determined by a licensed provider and is not guaranteed. Individual results vary. See full safety information at https://www.effecty.com/legal/safety.

3. Use the approved medication terminology.

These words are restricted or banned on most paid social and search platforms, and their use is a common cause of account bans.

Never use

  • semaglutide
  • tirzepatide
  • weight loss drug
  • Ozempic®
  • Wegovy®
  • Mounjaro®
  • Zepbound®

Approved

  • GLP-1
  • GLP-1 + GIP
  • Compounded GLP-1
  • Compounded GLP-1 + GIP

If you believe another term is permitted on your specific placement, get written approval from your Effecty affiliate manager before launch. Platform approval of an ad is not the same as Effecty approval.

4. No guaranteed results, amounts, or timelines.

Don’t

  • “Lose 20 lbs in 30 days,” “guaranteed weight loss,” “melt fat,” “works for everyone”
  • Any specific pounds, inches, dress-size, or timeframe promise
  • “No side effects,” “completely safe,” or any safety guarantee
  • Before-and-afters that are digitally manipulated, staged, stock, or not from an actual Effecty patient

Do

  • Use softened, honest language: “may help,” “can support,” “many patients experience”
  • Focus on health outcomes, lifestyle support, and long-term wellness
  • Talk about the process, the pricing, and the speed of the experience
  • Label any real before-and-after with “Individual results vary”

5. No guaranteed prescriptions.

Every patient is evaluated by an independent licensed provider. That evaluation is a real medical decision, not a formality, and nothing in your creative may suggest otherwise.

Don’t

  • “Get approved,” “instant prescription,” “everyone qualifies”
  • “No doctor needed,” “skip the doctor,” “guaranteed prescription”
  • Promise a live video consultation — intake is reviewed asynchronously
  • State a flat turnaround time for a prescription

Do

  • “Prescribed by independent licensed providers if you qualify”
  • “Providers review your intake and determine whether treatment is appropriate”
  • “See if I’m eligible” — the strongest compliant CTA we have
  • Keep every “as fast as” qualifier intact

6. No brand bidding. At all.

Bidding on Effecty brand terms is prohibited on every paid search and shopping platform. No exceptions, no whitelisting. Conversions traced to brand bidding will be reversed.

Prohibited terms include

  • “Effecty,” “Effecty.com,” and every spacing or casing variation
  • Derivatives: “Effecty reviews,” “Effecty coupon,” “Effecty cost,” “Effecty login,” “is Effecty legit”
  • Misspellings and close variants: “Efecty,” “Effectty,” “Affecty,” “Efecti”

You must

  • Not bid on brand terms in exact, phrase, or broad match
  • Not use brand terms in headlines, descriptions, display paths, or destination URLs
  • Maintain an account-level brand negative keyword list to prevent match expansion
  • Not bid on competitor brand names in a way that implies affiliation or comparison

7. No impersonating Effecty.

Don’t

  • Register domains that imitate ours: “officialeffecty.com,” “effectyreviews.com,” “geteffecty.net”
  • Use “official,” “HQ,” “support,” or “team” in handles or sender names in a way that implies you are Effecty
  • Clone or closely copy Effecty’s website design
  • Send email or SMS that appears to come from Effecty
  • Represent yourself as an Effecty employee, provider, or pharmacist

Do

  • Make it obvious, everywhere, that you are an independent partner promoting Effecty
  • Route every medical, account, and billing question to Effecty — never answer it yourself
Section 02

Claims and medical language

You may never say

  • That the medication treats, cures, prevents, or reverses any disease or condition
  • Anything diagnostic, or anything positioning your content as medical advice
  • That the product is safe for everyone, has no side effects, or needs no medical screening
  • That Effecty is endorsed, tested, certified, or approved by any government agency or independent organization
  • “Risk-free,” “miracle,” “breakthrough,” “doctors hate this”
  • “#1,” “best,” “most effective,” “highest rated” — unless we’ve supplied written substantiation

You may say

  • Factual description of the treatment category and how the telehealth process works
  • The program structure and dose lineup as published in the approved offer
  • Pricing, per Section 03
  • Speed and convenience of the online intake, with qualifiers intact
  • Identity, motivation, and aspiration angles that make no numeric or clinical promise
  • Any claim that appears verbatim in Effecty-approved offer materials

Never publish content that

Off-limits in every channel

  • Features or implies body shaming
  • Focuses on weight loss alone, without broader health context
  • Declares or implies there is a “perfect” body type or appearance
  • Reinforces negative or unhealthy body image
  • Exploits insecurities or shame to motivate someone to change
  • Promotes an unhealthy relationship with food or exercise
  • Targets minors, or implies the product is appropriate for anyone under 18

No clinical content without review

Do not produce content that reads as clinical education — dosing schedules, side-effect management, drug interactions, titration guidance, or contraindications — without written Effecty approval. This applies to blogs, advertorials, quizzes, videos, and email.

Imagery involving needles and injections

Our own brand standards restrict needle- and injection-focused imagery, and most ad platforms restrict it further. Use only the approved product imagery in the Everflow asset library; do not source your own injection photography, stock, or AI-generated needle imagery.

Section 03

Pricing, offers, and promotions

Don’t

  • Invent, guess, or “test” your own coupon codes
  • Promote expired, retired, or unreleased pricing
  • Use false urgency: fake countdown timers, “only 3 left,” “ends tonight” when it doesn’t
  • Post Effecty codes to coupon, deal, or cashback sites without written authorization
  • Advertise a price a customer cannot buy today

Do

  • Use “starting at” framing only: “Starting at $95”
  • Pair the price with “flat rate for your entire plan” where the offer supports it
  • Use only prices, codes, and offers published in the current Everflow offer
  • Check the offer page before every launch — pricing changes
  • Make sure the price in your ad matches the price at checkout exactly

Subscription and cancellation language

Our offers are plan-based, and the rule here is accuracy, not avoidance. A patient can cancel — the question is what they’ve already committed to, and a claim that’s true of one plan is false of another.

Never use, on any plan

“Risk-free,” “no strings attached,” “guaranteed refund,” “no obligation.” These imply a safety or money-back guarantee we don’t offer, and “risk-free” carries a separate medical-safety meaning on a prescription product.

Never use on a multi-month plan

“Cancel anytime,” “cancel whenever,” “no commitment,” “month-to-month flexibility,” “pause or cancel at any time.” A 3-, 6-, or 12-month plan is a prepaid commitment — the patient has paid for the term. Promising they can walk away from it is a misrepresentation of the offer, and it’s the exact pattern the FTC’s negative-option rules target.

What you can say instead

  • On month-to-month offers: describe the real mechanism — “Cancel before your next order is sent to the pharmacy.” Specific beats vague, and it’s what the FTC actually wants disclosed.
  • On multi-month offers: sell the commitment as the benefit — “Lock in a lower rate,” “Commit longer, pay less every month.”
Section 04

Price list and discount codes

Current list pricing, per month, billed in full up front for the term. The highlighted figure is each product’s lowest buyable price — the only number you may use in a “starting at” claim.

How to use these numbers

  • “Starting at” framing only — “Starting at $95” — using a highlighted price, and it must match checkout exactly.
  • A listed plan is never a promise of availability; eligibility is a provider decision.

Affiliate discount codes

These are the only codes you may promote. Do not invent codes, test variations, or post them to coupon, deal, or cashback sites.

How to advertise a code

  • Say “first order” in the ad, not the fine print — never a bare “$100 off.”
  • Never run a code over a product it doesn’t cover — it fails at checkout and the complaint lands on Effecty.
  • Advertising a post-code price? The code must appear in the same creative and match checkout exactly.
  • Codes change and expire — confirm on the Everflow offer page before every launch.

Section 05

Testimonials, reviews, and disclosure

Material connection disclosure is mandatory

Under FTC guidelines, your affiliate relationship must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, near the endorsement, visible without clicking, expanding, hovering, or scrolling to find it.

Where the disclosure goes

  • Social posts: in the post body, at the top — not buried in hashtags, not below a “more” cutoff, not in a comment
  • Video: on-screen text plus a verbal mention in the first few seconds. A description-box-only disclosure is not sufficient
  • Websites & advertorials: visible above the fold, plus “Advertisement” labeling on any advertorial
  • Email & SMS: in the body of the message

Acceptable: “Paid partnership with Effecty,” “I earn a commission if you purchase through my link,” “#ad.” A bare “#sponsored” tucked into a hashtag block is not.

Testimonials

Don’t

  • Write, script, fabricate, or embellish a customer testimonial
  • Use AI-generated people, voices, or faces presented as real patients
  • Use fake or implied celebrity, doctor, or media endorsements — including voice clones, deepfakes, and unauthorized “As seen on” claims
  • Fabricate reviews, ratings, engagement, or follower counts
  • Alter a testimonial in a way that changes or strengthens its claim

Do

  • Use only real experiences from real people who actually used the product
  • Present them accurately, with “Individual results vary”
  • Keep written consent on file for every testimonial and before-and-after

Health privacy

Never publish, quote, or repost a real person’s health information — a message, DM, review, photo, or intake detail — without their written consent. Health information is not ordinary marketing content.

Section 06

Creative, assets, and intellectual property

Don’t

  • Modify, recolor, stretch, crop, or re-typeset the Effecty logo or the ff. mark
  • Combine the ff. mark with the full “effecty” wordmark — they are used independently
  • Use copyrighted images, music, news footage, or clips you don’t hold rights to
  • Use news outlet logos or network branding to imply coverage or endorsement
  • Use AI imagery that misrepresents the product, shows a brand-name pen, depicts a fabricated result, or imitates a real person

Do

  • Use Effecty logos and brand assets exactly as supplied, from the Everflow asset library, without alteration
  • Keep the logo in black or white only — it can sit on any background color, but never changes color itself
  • License every stock photo, video, font, and music track you use, and keep the documentation
  • Disclose AI-generated creative where the platform requires it

If you build your own creative

All custom creative must be approved before launch.

Brand specs

  • Typeface: Poppins — Regular and Medium
  • Core colors: Black #171717 · Dark Gray #505050 · Gray #EBEBEB · Light Gray #FAFAFA · White #FFFFFF
  • Category colors: Weight Loss Green #B4B99D · Longevity Blue #2C3957 · Hormones Purple #B3B0CE
  • Effecty gradient: #B4B99D → #4A69B0, used as an accent on key words in a headline — never as a full background wash behind body copy
Section 07

Traffic sources and channels

Prohibited traffic and practices

  • Brand bidding (Rule 6)
  • Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, and auto-redirects
  • Cloaking, doorway pages, or serving different content to review traffic than to live traffic
  • Incentivized traffic, bots, click farms, or any artificially generated conversion
  • Adware, malware, browser extensions, toolbars, or pop-unders
  • Typosquatting and domains imitating Effecty or brand-name drug manufacturers
  • Misleading quizzes or fake “symptom checkers” that imply a medical assessment
  • Placement on adult, hate, piracy, illegal, or otherwise unsuitable content
  • Any traffic source you have not disclosed to your Effecty affiliate manager

Email and SMS

Email and SMS campaigns require written pre-approval, including sample creative and a description of your list source.

  • Comply with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and applicable state law. SMS requires express written consent
  • Send only to lists you built yourself with proper consent — no purchased, rented, scraped, or co-registration lists
  • Use accurate “From,” “Reply-To,” and subject lines. No spoofing Effecty, no misleading subjects
  • Include a valid physical address and a working one-click unsubscribe; honor opt-outs promptly
  • Never imply the recipient is a current or former Effecty patient

Social and influencer

  • Your account must not appear to be an official Effecty property
  • Disclose the affiliate relationship on every promotional post (Section 05)
  • Do not run paid amplification of Effecty content without written approval
  • Do not give medical advice in comments or DMs — direct people to the Effecty site to start an intake
  • Follow each platform’s health, pharmaceutical, and weight loss ad policies. A platform ban does not excuse a violation

Paid search (non-brand)

  • Non-brand keywords are permitted and encouraged, and your landing pages must comply with every rule in this document
  • Maintain an account-level negative keyword list covering Effecty brand terms and all brand-name drug terms
  • Never use brand-name drug names as keywords or in ad copy
Section 08

Your compliance responsibilities

  1. Review before launch. Submit new creative, landing pages, advertorials, and email/SMS campaigns to your Effecty affiliate manager for approval before they go live.
  2. Maintain negative keyword lists at the account level, and audit them monthly.
  3. Monitor your campaigns — including any sub-affiliates, media buyers, or creators working under you. You are fully responsible for their compliance.
  4. Keep records of your creative, landing pages, testimonial consents, stock licenses, and list-consent documentation for at least two years.
  5. Provide documentation on request during a compliance review, within five business days.
  6. Remove non-compliant content immediately on notification — within 24 hours, or sooner if we flag it as urgent.
  7. Re-check the offer page before every launch. Pricing, codes, approved claims, and restricted terms change.

Enforcement

Warning

Trigger: Minor or first-time issue, such as a missing disclosure

Consequence: Notice plus a 24-hour remediation window

Suspension

Trigger: Repeat issues, or failure to remediate

Consequence: Traffic paused, commissions held pending review

Termination

Trigger: Any Section 01 hard-rule violation, fraudulent traffic, or willful misrepresentation

Consequence: Immediate removal, unpaid commissions forfeited, conversions reversed

Effecty reserves the right to reverse conversions from non-compliant traffic at any time, and to require removal of any content at our sole discretion.
